A note to my future client….

It’s all about “finding the right fit” when it comes to choosing a therapist. Our initial session together is an opportunity to get to know one another, and it’s your hour to use as you wish. I’ll answer any questions you may have, and as you’re ready, begin to pin point the areas in which you’d like to see improvement, and how I can help.

There is power, energy, and healing available to us when we engage in daily self-care and wellness practices; this includes seeking out and participating in therapy. Therapy provides a confidential space in which to better understand and get a handle on our thoughts, feelings and actions. This self-exploration process can have a major impact on our quality of life.

To be in therapy is to seek to understand, to know thyself, to cultivate self-awareness and connect with your authentic self. Therapy also helps to strengthen relationships, repair self-esteem, and improves overall health and happiness.

In addition to boosting self-awareness and happiness, you may begin feeling better after just a few sessions. In 2001 a study was published in the Journal of Counseling Psychology stating that patients began to feel better within seven to ten visits. Another study published in 2006 in the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology stated that 88% of clients reported improvements after just one session. I welcome feedback and will also provide regular check-ins to make sure you are benefiting from our work together.

Therapy can be tailored to meet your needs, and in this busy life, availability and affordability are important. Together we can find the right cost and schedule that works for you. As an out of network therapist in private practice, a receipt for services known as a ‘superbill’ is available upon request. Simply submit the superbill to insurance for reimbursement. An online scheduler is available for easy scheduling, signing paperwork, and scheduling future appointments. If you’re more comfortable calling first, leave me a message and I will get back to you within one business day.

Thank you for reaching out, and I look forward to meeting you.
